Released: Official Our Daily Bread Mobile Application from RBC Ministries

Yay! It’s finally out.

RBC Ministries have released the popular Our Daily Bread devotionals as a mobile application for java enabled devices. They actually have the July and August 2008 Our Daily Bread devotionals available. Check out the details at http://www.rbc.org/mobile/apps/.

I tried it out on my Sony Ericsson P1i and it couldn’t display the entire devotional article. Wonder what’s the problem with the devotional being cut off. The mobile application worked fine using the java phone emulator from http://www.microemu.org/. The mobile application is named main in my list of applications.

   I tried installing the October edition on my SE K800 and also having trouble, it says “operation failed” when i press the install button. Does anyone know how to fix this? I would really love to be able to have this devotional on my mobile. Hoping someone can provide an answer. Thank you.

   I tried the ODB for September but got the error message, ‘Invalid Jar File’ on my Nokia E61i. This was suprising since the August Edition worked fine.

   I tried to download September issue but it doesn’t install on my N70, it says ‘Unable to Install’ both Jar and Jad files. :(

   Tried downloading the Sep ODB to my Sony K810i. Downloading both jar or jad file returns the “Invalid Application” error message at end of the download.

   praise the Lord, I have been waiting the rbc to approved. But unfortunately it cannot be read , it show Unable to install. I remember that all Sonyericson model can be install and read. please help…

   I tried downloading both the .jar and .jad files for August onto my Sony Ericsson K610i. In both cases I got the message ‘Unable to Install’. I emailed RBC ministries and they said I need the .jad file. However, I know my phone only uses the .jar files.

   Will there be a fix for this?

    August jar file does not work on Sony Ericsson v800 although the July file does!
    The boys in the back room will no doubt know this already..

    Has anyone tried downloading the Aug 2008 file? It doesn’t seem to be able to install in my Sony Ericsson phone… And it looks like there’s no bible passages for this new version right?

    Finally, they realized that victor’s idea was right.
    I have downloaded it via pc and it’s working perfectly in mu Nokia E61.
    The user interface was different from the one in your P1i victor..
    Mine is just as the same with the old one you have created.
