Our Daily Bread in Chinese, Indonesian and Thai language
What a great discovery!
I received an email from a friend who pointed me to RBC Ministries Asia’s website at http://www.rbcintl.org/?lang=en. Our Daily Bread is available on that website in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Indonesian and Thai language.
Below are the links from the RBC Ministries Asia’s website for Our Daily Bread in:
I have been looking for devotional content in the Chinese language to create a Chinese language mobile daily devotions. China has 467 million cell phone users by the end of January 2007, according to statistics from the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) as reported by People’s Daily Online. What a great opportunity to share the gospel by providing Christian content for the cell phone in Chinese.

Hi Victor,
Just a quick comment, FYI, for permission and Spanish ODB source text file, please contact:
Dirección postal de la Oficina Regional (Regional Office for RBC Americas):

Teléfono: (+55-41) 257-4028

Email: oficinaregional@rbcamericas.org or brazil@rbc.org
It will be great if they can provide you with the source text file, and not just that, but also hopefully already in the modified RSS XML file format so that it will save your time a lot, and give you some room to move to other languages.
If otherwise, perhaps Martin can help since obviously he reads Spanish more than you do, is it? :))
God bless and uphold you, and your mobile ministry, Victor!

Hi Martin,
Thanks for your feedback on Mobile Daily Devotions and providing the link to the website with the Spanish Our Daily Bread. Wow! This is going to be a busy month for me to look into working on the Chinese, Indonesian and Spanish ‘Our Daily Bread’ for the cell phone.
To convert the devotional content for Our Daily Bread for a J2ME app, it is first converted into a xml file using the rss format. The xml file is then compiled into a J2ME application. The bulk of the work is in converting the content from the website into a xml file. I wrote briefly about this last year. Excellent! I would really like to see ODB available in Spanish in J2ME. I`ve noticed that it`s available online in Spanish (Nuestro Pan Diario) – http://www.rbcamericas.org/npd . How would I, or someone else, go about converting it to J2ME? Many blessings, Martin Bone
