You can do more than just listen to music on your iPod. You can now read Our Daily Bread on your iPod. Here are the steps to install Our Daily Bread into your iPod.

1. Download the sample Our Daily Bread for your iPod here.
2. Unzip the downloaded file and you’ll get a folder named Our Daily Bread – March 2007.
3. Connect your iPod to your PC or Mac. You’ll see your iPod connected as a hard disk in your Windows Explorer or Mac Finder.
4. Open the Notes folder in your iPod.
5. Copy the unzipped Our Daily Bread folder into your iPod Notes folder.
6. Disconnect your iPod.
7. Select Extras > Notes on your iPod to read Our Daily Bread.

Since I’m testing out Our Daily Bread for the iPod, only three days of devotionals are included in the zip file. Come back here at the end of this month or the beginning of next month to get the April 2007 edition of Our Daily Bread for your iPod.

You can now test out the mobile daily devotions online at idevotion.net without having to install it on your phone. The mobile phone emulator used at idevotion.net is an open source j2me emulator written in java 2 standard edition called the MicroEmulator.

idevotion.net has 3 different skins for checking out how the mobile devotions looks like on phones with low, medium or high resolution screens. The emulator with a high resolution screen can display up to 16 lines of text, that’s double of what my Motorola PEBL can show.

It’s now so easy to try out the mobile daily devotions. Get all your friends to have a go at it. Just point them to idevotion.net.

I received an email from a friend who pointed me to RBC Ministries Asia’s website at http://www.rbcintl.org/?lang=en. Our Daily Bread is available on that website in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Indonesian and Thai language.

I have been looking for devotional content in the Chinese language to create a Chinese language mobile daily devotions. China has 467 million cell phone users by the end of January 2007, according to statistics from the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) as reported by People’s Daily Online. What a great opportunity to share the gospel by providing Christian content for the cell phone in Chinese.
