My New Handphone
22 Mar
At last, my search for my next handphone has ended.
The search started when the ‘Yes’ button on my Sony Ericsson T68i stopped functioning at the beginning of the year. So, I’ve been doing a lot of research online on which handphone model to get. My initial choice was the Sony Ericsson K750i. Since I’ve been using a T68i for over 3 years, the default choice was to get a Sony Ericsson phone. The 2 mega-pixel camera was also a great plus point.
I’ve also considered getting a Nokia smartphone, either the N70 or the 6680. The ability to install new applications onto the smartphone appealed to me. But, since I already have a Palm TX and an iPod; PDA functionality and digital music weren’t important features for my new handphone.
In the end I decided that ‘Less Is More’ and the extra features I really wanted were Bluetooth connectivity, GPRS and a functional web browser. I wanted a web browser for emailing occasionally on GMail Mobile and my office’s Outlook Mobile Access when I’m on the move. My old T68i doesn’t work with GMail Mobile.
The phone that I finally got was the Motorola PEBL. It has all the features I need in a ‘cool’ phone.
