My New Handphone

22 Mar

At last, my search for my next handphone has ended.

The search started when the ‘Yes’ button on my Sony Ericsson T68i stopped functioning at the beginning of the year. So, I’ve been doing a lot of research online on which handphone model to get. My initial choice was the Sony Ericsson K750i. Since I’ve been using a T68i for over 3 years, the default choice was to get a Sony Ericsson phone. The 2 mega-pixel camera was also a great plus point.

I’ve also considered getting a Nokia smartphone, either the N70 or the 6680. The ability to install new applications onto the smartphone appealed to me. But, since I already have a Palm TX and an iPod; PDA functionality and digital music weren’t important features for my new handphone.

In the end I decided that ‘Less Is More’ and the extra features I really wanted were Bluetooth connectivity, GPRS and a functional web browser. I wanted a web browser for emailing occasionally on GMail Mobile and my office’s Outlook Mobile Access when I’m on the move. My old T68i doesn’t work with GMail Mobile.

The phone that I finally got was the Motorola PEBL. It has all the features I need in a ‘cool’ phone.

Last night, we went for dinner at Langat Seafood & Beer Garden in Ulu Langat. The fresh air and good food was great. My nieces had a wonderful time enjoying the food and the fishes. I have more photos posted in my photo gallery.

Crumpler Bag for my Nikon D50

18 Mar

Finally, I have a camera bag for my Nikon D50.

I have been looking around for the “Crumpler Six Million Dollar Home”:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=ur2&tag=livingonthefo-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&path=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2FB0009Y3CG6%2Fsr%3D1-3%2Fqid%3D1142774464%2Fref%3Dsr_1_3%3F%255Fencoding%3DUTF8%26m%3DA17MC6HOH9AVE6%26s%3Dphoto camera bag for a few weeks now. The only place in KL that has it is the Crumpler shop in Suria KLCC, but only in red. I decided not to wait anymore and bought myself the “Crumpler Sinking Barge”:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=ur2&tag=livingonthefo-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&path=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2FB0009Y9KAS%2Fsr%3D1-44%2Fqid%3D1142772878%2Fref%3Dsr_1_44%3F%255Fencoding%3DUTF8%26s%3Dphoto photo and laptop backpack instead. I’m very happy with this backpack as I can re-configure the insides to use it as a normal backpack.

Leadership Training in Church

16 Mar

Last night and tonight, I was in church attending a series of leadership training sessions by Michael Koh. Yesterday, he shared about our devotional time as being a time where God finds us. Instead of us frantically searching for God, we should be still and God will seek us out.

Tonight, he talked about the 4 questions we should ask when approaching God and His word during our devotional time.

  1. What are You speaking to me?
  2. Why are You speaking this to me?
  3. What is the key to change? (point of leverage)
  4. What do you want me to do now?

We should not be trying to figure out the answers in our own mind. Not analyzing the questions to find an answer. Allow God to put a witness in our hearts. Hear the delicate little something. God’s word not only teaches us but will transform us.
